Citing its sexually suggestive nature, Aliso Niguel High School in Southern California has officially banned twerking from campus and all school dances: "Twerking now joins 'freaking' and 'grinding' as prohibited dances at the Orange County school."

Watch NYPD Officers Grind on Parade-goers

Max Read · 09/12/11 06:13PM

Consternation!! Alarm!! 100 Years, 100 Seconds, 100 Goddamn Costume Changes

Max Read · 08/30/11 07:29PM

There's a lot to like about this very well-done promo video for a soon-to-open East London shopping, hrm, "centre" besides the fashion, much of which still looks very snappy, if not entirely accurate. Baby Gets the Holy Spirit

Hamilton Nolan · 10/26/10 12:56PM

Here is an odd, elderly-looking (2,000 year-old?) baby in church, dancing as if possessed by the Jesus Spirit. Give that baby a cigarette and tape it to a wall, it'll be the biggest thing on the internet!

Exactly As You Would Imagine It

Hamilton Nolan · 12/16/09 12:49PM

"'Square-dancing here isn't really what people imagine it to be,' [Portland hipster Paul] Silveria [friends with many 'tattooed habitués of the punk scene'] says of the hybrid rock and square-dance moves he does." Oh yes it is. [WSJ]
