Just over 24 hours after Alison Parker was shot to death on live television, her father Andy Parker spoke to CNN’s Chris Cuomo about his daughters life and death, and the need for increased gun control. “I’m not going to rest until I see something happen,” Parker said.

Twenty-four hours after two of their colleagues were murdered live on their show, the hosts of WDBJ’s Mornin’ returned to the air to honor slain reporter Alison Parker and cameraman Adam Ward. “Joining hands here on the desk,” anchor Kimberly McBroom said after a moment of silence. “It’s the only way to do it.”

On Wednesday August 26 at 6:45 a.m., Alison Parker, a WDBJ news reporter, and Adam Ward, a cameraman, were shot dead during a live broadcast. The shooter, Bryce Williams, was a disgruntled former station employee who allegedly filmed the murders and posted the videos to Twitter and Facebook before attempting to shoot himself.
