Presentation High School seniors Alexandra, Angela, Angelica, Elizabeth, Emily, Isabella, Madeline, and Vi all share the same surname: Nguyen.

That fact has become something of a running gag at their San Jose-based all-girls Catholic school, so the winsome eightsome decided to make the most of their bane/blessing, and incorporate it into their yearbook photos for posterity.

"We know what you're thinking, and, no, we're not related," read their shared senior quote. (A lie: Two of the Nguyens are, in fact, twin sisters).

Little did they know, their semi-private joke would become ultra-public by the week's end.

After the yearbooks were distributed on Monday, one Presentation High student, proud to have been in the company of such clever classmates, posted the photos to their Facebook page. "It just blew up from there," Isabella Nguyen told the San Jose Mercury News.

After a whirlwind week of Internet stardom, "Nguyen-sanity" is poised to take the mainstream media by storm, starting with an appearance on CBS's Inside Edition, set to air this afternoon.

They're already aiming much, much higher: "We're shooting to be on Ellen or the Today show," said Isabella.
