It's true and it will be epically terrifying. Also today: some good news for some old favorites, Kevin Kline embarks on a new something, and some very devastating deaths must be reported.

You know what's cool these days? Television. Especially premium cable television. After his friend Glenn (the non-Beck one) raved about it and then Dustin jumped into the pool, Kevin Kline has decided to try for a TV series of his own, which he's never done before. He's working with HBO to develop a show about a doctor sent to prison for killing his mistress who then gets out 15 years later and has to put his life in order. So it's not a comedy. Which is too bad, because he's good at that. [Variety]

Are you sitting down? I think you should sit down. I have some difficult news. There's no easy way to say this, so I'm just going to say it. 'Til Death has been canceled. It just... It fought real hard, real hard. But God needed it up in heaven, so it went to go be with God. And... Oh gosh, I'm so sorry but Scrubs is gone too. Please, just take some time, take all the time you need. I'm so sorry. I'm so, so sorry. [TheWrap]

Here's some good news to brighten your tragic day. Jennifer Beals continues to work! She's been cast in a new Fox pilot from Shawn Ryan, the creator of The Shield. It's another police drama and costars one of the dudes from Brotherhood. John Laroquette is also doing a pilot! The '80s will never die. [THR]

After all the hullabaloo here's what Paula Abdul might do with her post-Idol heat. She and Kenny Ortega, that 'mo what brought you Newsies, are cookin' up a show about those flashmob dance things for NBC. It's just what everyone wants: the internet... on TV! Next thing you know, they're going to be giving Bo Burnham comedy specials. Oh. Right. [Variety]

Ohhhh lawd. Get ready for some pain, Jimmy Cameron. The Avatar director recently called raging potato-marshmallow Glenn Beck "a fucking asshole." Then he kinda backed down and said he wants to debate him. Yes, they can go debate. They can go debate in a dark, secluded room somewhere and we can continue on living our little lives, startled briefly every so often by a loud thump or crash or agonized moan. [THR]
