Cyber identity is no joke, and if takes three years in jail to teach Fouad Mortada that lesson, so be it. The 26 year-old Moroccan was sentenced to jail time and $1,000 fine for creating a satirical Facebook profile of Prince Moulay Rachid. But before you get outraged, consider that this same ha-ha could have been played on the King.

Mortada set up the account in January. Ever swift Moroccan justice had Mortada arrested, blindfolded and beaten up by first week of February.

On his "help the cyber identity thief" website, Fouad claims "it was just a joke, a gag." Well, setting Prince Moulay's status to "does not have a complex about being second line" isn't funny.
