Hey, I survived Strike 2005! I left at 6 a.m. and schleped from the LES to WTC to catch the PATH train to Newark Penn Station where I got NJT to EWR AirTrain (don't ask). At 10:30 a.m., I schelped back onto EWR AirTrain, et al, for the return trip and am back in my humble abode in the confines of the safe LES. BTW, Jersey is laughing at us. Fucking Jersey. 'Nuff said. BTW#2, What the fuck is up with this union chant? (In a deep Brooklyn accent, from an uneducated shmuck.) Who got the powah? You got the powah! Who got the powah? We got the powah!

From the seat of my trusty mountain bike, I saw a spat between a bicyclist and a Porsche owner. Somebody committed a moving violation of some sort that I must have missed, but the result was a shattered window on the Porsche, whose owner sounded suspiciously like Christopher Moltisanti.

I remember when the leaders of SAG and AFTRA rushed us into a strike in 2000. We're still hurting from that. So good luck my train-steering, booth-dwelling, non-enunciating comrades. Please know if I don't get to the airport on time tomorrow night I will go Braunstein Scissorhands on all of you.
