One of us has held seven different fulltime media jobs over seven and a half years in New York. So, obviously, we like looking for new jobs — and we're betting you do too. As part of Gawker Media's ongoing effort to ensure you're as unproductive and useless to your employer as possible, we're now very proud to introduce Gawker Jobs.
There are so many jobs out there, so many of them so much better than your current gig, but they're listed in so many different places. That's where Gawker Jobs comes in. Developed in partnership with Indeed, Gawker Jobs scours all the top job boards to deliver an aggregated listing of media jobs available in New York. (Not interested in media jobs? Not interested in New York jobs? You can adjust the search to look for other things elsewhere — but why would you?)
Gawker Jobs lives at www.gawker.com/indeed. Get there, and get searching for something better.
And then don't forget to throw us a bone when you have the big new job. We're always looking for something new, after all.

When can we expect the Gawker paper towel roll and toilet dispenser set?
way to make me more insecure about my current job guys, thanks!... psyche, good lookin out.
Is Gawker mascot a paid position?
wow, that interface is terrible. takes me back to web design, circa 1998.
You guys really hate mediabistro, huh?
and what will make this better than/different from mediabistro?
I didn't think anyone was actually HIRED from online postings from New York media. It's just part of some EEO requirement. And then everyone just hires the next pretty white person that they sleep with.
Anything for someone without a college degree?
and let the gawker lifestyle branding begin.
I agree about the lame interface, and the lack of sifting ablitity by anything other than date posted. This type of thing should be an improvement on the stuff already out there to be worthwhile, no? Looking forward to the forthcoming Gawker restaurant listings (in no particular order) with Zagat-style reader feedback.
when plugging in my particulars my search came up with: mailroom mailroom messenger mailroom assistant Senior VP Mailroom Administration Security Mailroom Security Administrative Assistant to the Senior VP of Mailroom Security. and so on ... I think I might still stick with the leaping off the Conde Nast building approach.
i don't think laurel is going to be quivering in her boa yet-- metajobs is already done to death, and doesn't add much value to the site. i'd rather have gawker post a list of three or four jobs per day-- handpicked by its editors, or even paid for by savvy media companies ($500/each?). i think rafat has been doing something similar for awhile, and it's good stuff. get too it-- and ditch this indeed stuff!
ah, something just as useless as mediabistro.
At least it's better than Gawker Dating...
